We offer Driving Lessons and Road test for All Ages
16 YEAR OLD
(Students Age 16)
Golden Wheel Driving School purchases permit on student’s behalf through NJMVC once the student turns 16 by submitting a permit application card (available upon request) along with original primary ID (United States birth certificate, passport or green card)
(6) hours of behind-the-wheel instruction
Dual controlled vehicle
Vision test at MVC facility (student must pass with 20/50 visual acuity)
Permit validation
Certificate of hours provided for insurance discount
- Free Permit Service
YOUNG ADULT
Students Ages 17-21
If you are Age 17-21
- Visit any MVC testing facility with 6 points of ID and proof of address and complete permit application. If the student is under the age of 18, signed parental consent on permit application is required.
- Pass the vision test
- Pass the knowledge test or submit test waiver from high school
- Have the permit validated/schedule the road test for 6 months from that time

ADULT
Students over the age of 21
If you are Age 21 or older
- Visit any MVC testing facility with 6 points of ID and proof of address and complete permit application. If the student is under the age of 18, signed parental consent on permit application is required.
- Pass the vision test

Premium Road Test Service
When it comes time to take the NJ Road Test, Golden Wheel Driving School is ready to help. We will accompany the student at the time of the road test and provide a ‘Refresher Course’ review lesson, to ensure you have all the skills needed.
The student will be picked up, given a thorough explanation of the Road Test, put behind-the-wheel to practice a simulated test. Wait in the DMV road test line (regardless of the wait time). Take the DMV Road Test in our vehicle. Because of the possible computer issues and often extensive wait time to process a license at the DMV agency, Golden Wheel Driving School is unable to assist with the processing of the license. The student can be taken to the processing line and will then have to be picked up, or the student can be taken back home and go to any DMV Agency and process at a later time.
